My City 4 Ways: Food + Music + Art + Style event with Essence & FORD!
I LOVE LOVE being a blogger because I get to attend fabulous events where I meet new friends. Today I attended a super cool event hosted by Essence Magazine and FORD. The event, ‘My City 4 Ways’ was held in DC at the Longview Gallery and it was so much fun.
The event was a fusion of food, music art and style celebrating my city…DC! We got to meet Queen B – Beyonce’s super cool stylist Ty Hunter and his friend (who I think is a cutie pie lol) Sean Frazier. Comedian and ‘The Real’ co-host Loni Love was the host and DC’s own Ginuwine popped in for a performance.

If you wanted, you could test drive a few of the vehicles in the FORD fleet of fabulous cars. Onsite for test drives were the all-new convertible Mustang, FORD Fusion, F-150 Platinum edition (yes Platinum child lol), Explorer, Edge and Escape models. So y’all know I was immediately drawn to the Mustang first cause I’mma Diva and that’s what we do (lol).
2017 Ford Mustang
If you’re looking for an attractive, sleek, sexy sports car with some muscle under the hood…the 2017 Ford Mustang is the car for you. I absolutely love the new body styling and the color (which we dubbed Merlot lol) is pure hotness! Wouldn’t you agree?
2017 Ford Fusion
My favorite feature in the Fusion was the navigation also being in the message center next to the speedometer. I think that is a cool and unique feature. I also loved that this midsize family friend vehicle has available heated and cooled seats! The interior is also fabulous. This model had the quilted leather in the door panels to match the seats. #NiceTouch
2017 Ford Explorer
The Ford Explorer is a popular mid-size family SUV in the DC area. I now fully understand its appeal. The new body style is sleek and aggressive married with fabulous features like rear view camera, navigation and self-parking feature (add on option). If you’re in the market for a new family SUV, take a serious look at the new Ford Explorer.
The test drives were a lot of fun and it’s always wonderful to test drive a gorgeous new car with a few fab friends. I wanted to test drive them all but the staff started to look at me funny (lol).

I love the new Ford Explorer I am thinking about doing a test drive this weekend. My husband wants the mustang, but hey old man winter would have no mercy on a rear wheel drive vehicle.

Looks like a fun event! Bloggers get the fun invites!! I am more of an SUV person myself…so the SUV would’ve been the car that I went to first. My husband would’ve gravitated to the mustang!
