#FabFood: Shake Shack @ MGM National Harbor!

I Enjoyed Some #FabFood During My Holiday Break!

MGM National Harbor opened on December 8th to a lot of fanfare and love from MD/DC/VA residents.  I instantly fell in love with the casino driving up, I was simply awestruck. What I didn’t expect was to fall in love with the onsite fast food options, especially ‘Shake Shack.’  (lol)  They have a food court with a good variety of options but the ‘Shake Shack’ was an unexpected delight!

During my holiday break, I decided to wait till the crowds died down to visit so I could take in the full scope of this beautiful casino resort (article coming soon) at my leisure.  I knew they had several anchor restaurants on site including ‘Marcus’ by Marcus Samuelsson and ‘Fish’ by Jose Andres and the Voltaggio Brothers’ steakhouse.  The crowds and the long lines due to the holiday, ensured long waits at these restaurants so me and my friend Lemica decided to give ‘Shake Shack’ a twirl.  Our thinking was the lines were long but moving so the food must be good.  We had no idea just how good!

The line wrangler (yes they have a line wrangler) suggested the ‘Chick’n Shack’ sandwich because of its yummy buttermilk herb mayo and the buttermilk batter it’s breaded in.  It was her favorite and sounded good enough for me.  Honey let me tell you…that chicken sandwich and those crinkle cut fries were the absolute truth!  They were simply delicious.  So delicious, I’m planning my next visits (yes visits) right now.  I can’t stop thinking about it and neither can my taste buds (lol).

We made a new friend during our dining experience and she suggested the ‘maple, bacon and banana’ concretes. Now the concretes is a frozen custard blended with your choice of mixins.  Sounds delicious, right? I’ll be having one of those on my next visit (lol).

As my friend Mimi Cute Lips would say, ‘Shake Shack’ is #FatSnacks approved.  We think it’s #FabFood approved too.  The food is simply delicious.  So on your next visit to the DMV and/or the MGM National Harbor, do your taste buds a favor and sample the delicious goodies at a ‘Shake Shack’ location.  I think I’m going to buy into the franchise so I can always get free goodies, who’s with me? (lol)

  10. I’ve seen Shake Shack a million times and still haven’t eaten there yet. Every time it’s packed or I know darn well I don’t need to be eating what they serve.
