Airport Sherpa to the Rescue!

Have you ever been sitting at your gate waiting for your flight and wanted something fabulous to eat, but it’s at another gate far away?  No problem.  ‘Airport Sherpa’ to the rescue!

I discovered ‘Airport Sherpa’ recently on a return flight from Atlanta. I had landed at BWI and saw the sign as I was heading to the baggage claim area. It caught my attention because I thought that would have been great in Atlanta when my flight was delayed or when I was waiting to fly to Atlanta.  Might be a good idea for them to put the sign near the TSA checkpoint exits so we can see it and utilize the service before our flights (lol).  Anywho…

Airport Sherpa to the rescue!

Very Easy to Use!

The service is simple and seems very easy to use.  Of course, you have to download the app (it’s available for Apple and Android products), place an order with a participating restaurant or store.  Then you pay for your items through the app and they are delivered to you to your gate for a small fee! #Genius

What We Love About the App/Service:

Airport Sherpa integrates with your flight itinerary.  Then it tracks your flight schedule and departure gate, so they know exactly where to bring your order even if your gate info is changed at the last minute.

The app also offers real-time order updates! While you rush through security or wait patiently at your gate, ‘Airport Sherpa’ sends live updates on your order prep status and delivery! #Winning

You were probably thinking you could only order food, but you can also order tech items (cables, chargers etc.), travel accessories you may have forgotten (i.e. travel pillows) or gifts.

Watch the video below of the process.

What do you think?  Would you use a service like ‘Airport Sherpa?’  It’s currently available at Baltimore Washington International airport (BWI).   ‘Airport Sherpa’ is a fabulous idea.  I can’t wait till it expands to other airports.  I think it would do well in Atlanta, LAX and Ft. Lauderdale airports, just to name a few.

  2. Now this is stepping up the game. The Atlanta airport is ridiculously big so going from one terminal to the next for a quick bite is damn near impossible. We need this.

  6. This is really genius. I am going to tell my husband about it because he is going to take a flight with our girls by himself and my kids love to eat, so this will help him keep an eye on them. I’m definitely interested in using the service myself.
