There’s A Fabulous New Residence Inn Marriott Hotel in East Baltimore!
I recently attended the grand opening ceremony for the new Residence Inn Marriott hotel in Baltimore and it was a wonderful event. Simply put it is a gorgeous property.

Residence Inn Marriott Grand Opening Ceremony!
It’s a beautiful new contemporary/modern luxury hotel option and it’s literally steps away from John Hopkins Hospital. This brand new extended stay hotel has a total of 194 beautiful one & two-bedroom suites.
The build took two years to complete and is part of the East Baltimore Development Initiative to revitalize the area. It’s also important to note that 80% of the staff are residents of Baltimore City. So, this Residence Inn is not just a fabulous place to stay it’s also providing wonderful needed job opportunities in the community.
The suites are all beautifully designed and most have full in-room kitchens. The kitchens and the bathrooms also feature easy access for guests in wheelchairs. The suites also have state of the art flat screens, dreamy beds and charging ports on both sides of the bed (lol). We must #staypowered my friends!
To make your stay even more fabulous, Residence Inn has a lot of complimentary amenities. Standard complimentary amenities/services at the Residence Inn Baltimore include:
- Free hot breakfast daily with a rotation of delicious healthy choices
- Complimentary Wi-Fi in all suites and lobbies
- Free grocery shopping & delivery (guests just pay for their groceries)
- Pet friendly hotel
- 24 hour access the John Hopkins hospital shuttle or escort from hospital to hotel if you choose to walk.
Business Travelers Will Love Staying at The Residence Inn Baltimore!
This hotel is also great for business travelers. In addition to the comfortable luxurious suites, there are also beautiful, state of the art classroom style meeting rooms and conference rooms. There’s also a business center in the lobby with computers, printers and fax machine for guests to use.
One of my favorite features of this hotel is the awesome rooftop bar & restaurant, “16 on the Park!” It’s the perfect date night lunch/dinner spot, happy hour location and (soon to be) brunch destination.
The most important feature of this hotel is that it is literally steps away from John Hopkins Hospital and that was part of the plan from day one. It’s designed to provide comfortable and close by, home away from away accommodations for families of patients at the hospital. They succeeded!
So, if you’re in Baltimore anytime soon, stop by for lunch/dinner and check out this gorgeous hotel. If a family member or friend is coming to John Hopkins Hospital and needs a hotel, this is the perfect location! They’ll be treated like family from the moment they arrive.
Visit www.ResidenceInn.Marriott.com for more information or to book a suite!
P.S. there’s also a Starbucks within walking distance (lol).
Have you stayed in a Residence Inn Marriott lately?
Be Happy. Be Fabulous. Be Well Traveled.

This hotel is gorgeous! And is it Black owned? We stayed at the Sheraton in Silver Springs a few months ago. I can’t say that I’ve ever stayed at the Marriott, but if we decide to come to Baltimore, I’ll be sure to book this hotel.
