2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4…Cute & Great on Gas!

The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE is a Cute Entry Level Car!

We love a car that’s cute and great on gas.  The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE totally fits the bill.  This entry level sedan is filled with some pretty fabulous technology and options but it needs a little help in one key area.  I’ve reviewed the new re-designed Mitsubishi Outlander Sport and was curious to see how the Mirage would handle.

Let’s discuss the fab features and technology first.  I was impressed that an entry level sedan (as it was described to me) would have great features like a touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.  I was shocked and even more impressed that this little cutie had a back-up camera and front heated cloth seats.  Yes, heated seats!

I also liked the body style and the chrome wheels were also a nice touch.  It also has great cargo space in the trunk for the kids gear and shopping bags (lol).  The chrome and gloss black trim accents on the dash, touch screen and door handles/arm rests was also a very nice touch.

But there’s one key area where the Mirage G4-SE needs a little help and that’s with the performance of the 3 cylinder engine.  Let me say that the Mirage G4-SE has phenomenal fuel efficiency and I realize that’s due to the 3 cylinder engine.  At the end of 7 full days of driving to work each day and running a lot of errands over the weekend, I still had a little over a half a tank of gas.  That’s fabulous! But…the engine is loud which is a bit of a distraction.  I’d love to see it upgraded to a 4-cylinder engine with a little more get up and go with ease.

If you’re in the market for an entry level sedan with wonderful technology and cool options this is the car for you.  If you need something with fabulous fuel efficiency, this is the car for you.  Just be a little patient going up hill.

  2. They have really stepped the game up with the Mirage! I remember when a couple of my friends had them and they were NOTHING like this! I love the fact that you can get these “bells and whistles” on an entry level sedan!

  6. Cute little compact car and the price is right. It’s rare to see anything under $20k these days, certainly not a fully loaded ride! My interest is piqued! I may rent one when I return stateside this summer.

  11. This is definitely a cute starter car for a new driver or college student. I like that both seats are heated, and the large trunk space is great for college students moving back and forth between the dorm and home.
