Packing and Travel Tips from Supermodel Emme!

Emme3On Saturday May 16th I was fortunate enough to be on the front row at a very special fashion show at Macy’s in Columbia Mall.  The standing room only event ‘Macy’s Welcomes Emme’ fashion show featured gorgeous summer looks for today’s curvy women and was hosted by legendary Supermodel Emme.

Here are a few of the looks featured on the runway…

Walking shorts and skinny jeans are a cute and comfortable travel option.

A few of the looks were perfect for a fabulous summer vacation, a cruise or couples/girlfriend getaway.  My favorite traveling chic looks featured were the walking shorts with the cork wedges and floral statement top, cropped skinny jeans with tucked in printed blouse and the beautiful maxi dresses.  The ‘soft pants’ outfits were also perfect for traveling to and from your destinations in comfort and style.

A few of the fabulous designer brands featured in these looks include:  Alfani, Style & Co., Ralph Lauren, Jessica Simpson and Guess shoes, Michael Kors totes and purses.  Pair your soft pants (pictured below) with a comfortable pair of wedges or a ultra cute pair of gladiator shoe-booties.  If you are rocking this looking at the airport pair with it an easy to remove pair of flats or sandals.   All items featured in these looks are currently available at Macy’s.

Soft pants with army style jackets, vests and sweaters are also comfy travel options.

If your getaway is a working trip, pack a gorgeous multi print sleeveless dress, belt to accentuate your waist and a fabulous pair of platform pumps.  Yes that Blogalicious’ very own Stacey Ferguson @justicefergie rocking the runway in the gorgeous print dress (pictured up top).   Flip to page 2 for more…

  1. I never thought to use the plastic from my dry cleaning. That’s a good idea. Now steaming my clothes from the shower, I learned that in Japan because the iron situation at the hotel was horrible.

    • I agree the plastic bag tip is a great idea. I never trust hotel irons or the fact that they’ll even have one, I carry a travel size steamer on every trip!

  4. I love a printed pant, it adds so much punch to a look. The bold yellow and print paint look is my absolute favorite.

  8. Great tips. I’m usually a workout clothes person when flying, but all for comfort when I’m on vacation. Definitely second drinking water especially going to hot destinations.
